Lexie Corbett is a PhD student at York University from which she holds a Master of Arts. An early career scholar, she has previously been honoured with the Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canadian Graduate Master’s scholarship. Her work has been published in Little White Lies, Bright Lights Film Journal, and The Alphaville Journal of Film and Screen Media. Recently, her paper: “Bergman’s Architecture: The Synergistic Convergence of Art and Life on Bergman Island” was published as part of the 2025 biannual Architecture and Film Symposium. She is co-curator of This is the Feminist Archive: Canadian Film and Video 1970s-1990s, a multi-part screening series. Her research interests include the materiality of film form; the practice and study of cinephilia; Deleuze’s film-philosophy; feminist film theory; and psychoanalysis. She resides in Toronto.
